Multi-injector
"Universal" injector combining all injection modes : Split or Split-splitless either in a classical mode or with temperature (PTV) and pressure programmable mode. It also allows the large volume injection mode (LVI) as well as the direct desorption of a solid sample.
Description:
The body of the injector is heated by joule effect. It is thermally isolated from the oven wall to allow a fast cooling by air or optionally by liquid CO2 (LCO2). An electronic pressure regulation allows pressure programming.
Technical characteristics:
• Temperature range: ambiant to 650°C by 1°C step
• Temperature ramp: 4 programmable ramps up to 999°C/min.
• Pressure range: 0-400 kPa
• Pressure ramp: by 1 kPa step
• Air cooling (optionally by LCO2)
Applications:
The multi-injector is particularly adapted for the analysis of high boiling points products or on the contrary for the analysis of strongly thermolabiles or volatiles products.
The large volume injection allows to reach a better sensibility or to save time in the sample preparation during extraction-concentration phase. This injector will thus be the ideal injector in the environmental field or in the food industry.
The multi-injector allows to do a thermal desorption at low temperature followed by a temperature programmed pyrolysis of a solid sample introduced in the insert. The analysis is made after trapping by cooling the head of the column followed by fast reheating (cryofocussing method). This technique is applicable to the characterization of polymers or to the study of source rocks in geochemistry.
